I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California.
I started my art career at an early age. Here I am (third from the left) working en plein air in kindergarten. Whether I was in grade school, high school ...
... or college, art was always at the center of my curriculum. It has been a major focus of my life ever since.
After earning a BFA degree from the University of California Fullerton, I traveled extensively, sketching and studying art throughout Europe.
After living in Norway, moving to Minnesota, moving to New York City, and moving back to Minnesota ...

... I served as a contractor to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York for special exhibitions.
In 1992, I moved to Marietta, Georgia and by 1996, plein air painting became my focus. I participated in and helped organize a number of plein air events across the country. During this time, I studied plein air painting under Albert Handell, Kevin Macpherson, Ken Auster, Kenn Backhaus, John Budicin, Peter Adams and others. In 2007, I began studying portrait and figure painting under Jim Schell and Marc Chatov. I am now serving as Marc's apprentice.
Currently, I am a member of the Atlanta Fine Arts League and the Plein Air Painters of Georgia. I exhibit across the Southeast and my work is awarded and collected nationally.
Recently, my work has been exhibited at:
